Blue in Greece
Real estate platform design and development

The challenge
The platform had to work for both B2B and B2C users, and each had distinct requirements.
For B2B, partner agents needed the ability to submit properties directly for sale or rent through the platform. Each submission had to enter a review queue, where Blue in Greece's team could approve, modify, or reject it before it went live on the site. That entire workflow had to be reliable, well-tested, and easy to manage from the back end.
For B2C, the platform needed to display property listings and the agency's construction and development portfolio in a way that was modern and easy to navigate. Each property listing included at minimum 10 images in large format, a video gallery, classification details, amenities, floor plans, and other attachments. With a high volume of listings projected from launch, the platform had to stay fast, organised, and fully searchable without any of that media load creating performance issues.
On top of that, the solution had to support advanced SEO, instant page indexing, large database storage, and be built in a way that allowed future expansion without disrupting the live platform.
How we made it happen
We opened the project with regional and national research across real estate and construction agencies in Greece. The property market there is large and competitive. We needed to understand what the established players were already doing well from a UX and interface standpoint, and where there was room for Blue in Greece to build a presence that stood apart.
With the research completed, we moved into Figma and designed all pages covering the full platform experience for both user types. We built prototypes alongside the designs to give the client a clear and interactive view of the platform before development began. This accelerated the approval process and removed pressure from the development phase, which required close attention given the technical complexity of the project.
After full design sign-off, we set up the domain and hosting, and selected WordPress as the development platform. Its customisation capabilities and capacity for future expansion without affecting live performance made it the right fit for this build.
We built all front-end interface elements in WordPress and linked them using dynamic tags to a fully custom back end. This included all custom fields, tabs, property statuses, and content sections needed to support both the B2B submission workflow and the B2C browsing experience. Each property was structured around a custom dossier built within the CMS platform, covering every data point the team needed to manage listings efficiently. Properties submitted by partner agents entered the system with a pending status and moved through a review flow before being published.
The full project was completed in 75 days, including SEO setup, accessibility and performance testing, and bug fixes. Before handover, we ran training sessions with the Blue in Greece team covering the full platform, its features, and all custom workflows. We also produced a detailed user manual documenting every process and capability, so the team had a reliable reference point for managing the platform independently from day one.
